Stan's connection to the University of Wisconsin, his alma mater, is strong. He has attended all but one of the UW Foundation's Wisconsin Weekend Aways. Stan is on the Alumni Advisory Committee to the Pathways to Excellence Program which involves improving the undergraduate experience outside the classroom, as well as the Alumni Advisory Committee to the Center for Global Health. This usually takes him to Madison twice per year.
